Very little information on the characters from Deadman Wonderland. Every one of them are quite interesting and, may I add, twisted.
Main characters
Story of Deadman Wonderland centers around the following characters.
- Woodpecker / Igarashi Ganta - the lead character in DW. He's quite a weakling, but he has a strong sense of justice. When the 'Red Man' attacked him and mass-murdered his classmates, he got this strange red diamond embedded in his chest.
- Shiro - a mysterious girl who appears to be Ganta's childhood friend back in Tokyo. She seems cheerful and happy-go-lucky, but she's got such a destructive power.
- Takami Yoh - an inmate who 'accidentally' bumped into Ganta in his first day in DW. He then befriends Ganta while being assigned by Tamaki to watch over him, and gets Cash Points in return. He intentionally came to DW to save his little sister.
Deadmen
Deadmen are residents of G-ward in Deadman Wonderland. They are people whose body is infected with Branch of Sin, which appears directly after the Great Tokyo Earthquake. They have the ability to control their blood to use it as a weapon. And it appears that our hero, Ganta, is not the only deadman.
